I feel like if they structured it at the specific same manner as RS3 has (Pre-wars escape because its waaaay too OP) with maybe some distinct rewards or enhancements to existing gear/slayer related stuff it would work good RuneScape gold, like imbues for leafbladed gear, maybe an excess ban/extend slot for jobs afterwards so long etc may even go as far as to increase the term of item degrades and strands by just 5 percent, nothing overly OP but substance that could still allow it to be worth doing. I hope they just scrap it and he learns that he can't just dev what he wants, but what the community as a whole wants.

Tbh though some of it is really good but the larger image was not considered, which is usually true with new devs. In a great deal of instances they look beyond a great deal of obvious nerf options to balance it (in RS3 the helm doesn't work on boss master jobs for example which would balance things or just to offer 1 job each week or you have to purchase jobs for 50 points or something limited to one per day and the helm is permitted ) and they could not have bothered with boss teleports and a lot of the tertiary substance since the osrs community is greatest with slim and non-revolutionary updates which are then enlarged on based on community feedback.

This is just a lousy dev arrangement though, they should have had him working under somebody on the jungle boss rework instead of changing the most popular ability in RuneScape because his first project. Agreed, slayer is an OP money maker and battle training method already (or guess correctly powered) so meddling at all needs to be done by people closer to RuneScape and neighborhood. I'm pretty sure it's seen as a learning experience for him of being effective at adjusting his raw idea to something community could actually vote or watch the results of the polls.

There's no way that he did some of the without explicit consent from on top. He probably got promoted to lead developer for indicating porting RS3 content and SLAYER. I don't think a new mods first project should be on some thing that can/will impact RuneScape in such a sizable way/scale. At least not with a shit ton of oversight and babysitting (and that point whats the point, just set a experienced dev onto it), that clearly hasn't happened.

As disrespectful because it is, his leash for his very first project shouldn't have been granted so much slack. He shouldn't have been okayed to perform something which affects a lot of RuneScape to the level. Whoever over saw him neglected too by allowing this to come this far. We shouldn't have seen this, it should've been stopped if he purposed it as an idea to them. Has such a drastic effect on RuneScape. Zero thought was put into the long-term effects it would have by this new dev. When he did, it clearly was not enough and he definitely doesn't understand enough. The OSRS team understands better. Or thought they did.

Or perhaps this is an OSRS group hazing in the place where they permit the community to ruin the hopes and dreams of a brand new mod. I just hate how radically different the max xp gains are from skill to skill.

It was interesting hearing the rationale is that players dont want to be"pressured" to do turael slayer simply to hunt for boss tasks. Clearly he has a lot of game experience, but he is catering to the exceptionally niche playerbase with that line of reasoning. And Jmods should stop saying"Don't flame us to the website, its us collecting feedback" There are dozens of surveys where they fall a site with survey questions tagged on at the end, then the articles gets polled as is without listening to feedback until after it failed the poll. Its a valid concern that they'll poll it without assessing the content. Imo it only needs not to be tied to the slayer helm dps enthusiast, also its a workable piece of content.

I don't believe a brand new mods first project should be on some thing that can/will effect RuneScape in this type of sizable way/scale. At least not with a shit ton of oversight and babysitting (and that point whats the stage, just put a seasoned dev onto it), which obviously hasn't happened. His leash for his project shouldn't have been given so much slack, as disrespectful as it is. He should not have been okayed to do something which RuneScape 2007 gold affects so much of RuneScape to the degree. Whoever over saw by enabling this to come up to now him failed. If he purposed it to them as a concept we should not have noticed this, it should've been stopped. Has a radical effect on RuneScape. Zero thought was put into the long term effects it would have by this new dev. If he did, it clearly wasn't enough and he doesn't understand enough. The OSRS team knows better. Or I thought they did.
